We don’t need any extra fluoride in drinking water

Dear Editor,
The issue in relation to fluoride is not whether it has an impact on dental decay. The issue is whether it should be put in the nation’s drinking water.
Dental decay is not caused by a lack of fluoride, but by poor diet and inadequate dental hygiene.
We are exposed to fluoride through toothpaste, mouthwashes and from other sources, as well as when we are thirsty. We do not need it in our drinking water as well.
